“The Face of Expression 2: In Your Face” by Aaron Woodson is the highly anticipated sequel to the author’s much praised first poetry collection “The Face of Expression.” As with the first book, this sequel will definitely move and inspire readers as it offers a look at the author’s journey and struggles written in riveting prose. A collection of poems and musings, the book is poignant, emotional, and filled with hope — looking at life in a positive way despite the hardships. Uplifting and touching, this book is a must have for those who want to overcome the difficulties in life.
Woodson says that the poems are about expressions, love, pain, experiences, social issues, faith, and relationships. He adds that he shares his face of expression through a cathartic release in poetry. He gives his testimony in words that will resonate with the hearts and minds of his readers.
“‘The Face of Expression 2: In Your Face’ by Aaron Woodson is a collection of poetry, ideas, and musings written in a style that is deceptively simple, and in a voice that is masked by naivety, but it is profound and thought-provoking. The reader is immediately pulled in by the childlike voice that addresses a mother, ‘the Black Queen,’ and as they move from page to page, they begin to feel the different emotions of the persona. The book is a gorgeous compilation that unveils the face of the author and makes for a great read,” shares Ruffina Oserio for Readers’ Favorite.
Woodson is a military veteran from Vallejo, California. At the age of 15, he already had a passion for poetry and began writing. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 2001 and served for 15 years. He had a vision to publish his very own work someday. The opportunity finally came with the release of the highly anticipated “The Face of Expression,” his first book that’s ever been published.
